I first learned of this beautiful structure when I saw a painting of it done by the late Irby Brown. When I found out I'd have a chance to paint at El Rancho de las Golandrinas during the Plein Air Convention in Santa Fe, New Mexico, I knew exactly what I wanted to paint. Irby Brown was a longtime and well respected Santa Fe painter whose work I respected. This is my simple tribute to him.
